So, here it is, the first post on my new website JustinTaylor.consulting. While I don’t plan to write blog posts very often I thought I should introduce my new website and also explain my decision to change my business name change from Convertology to Justin Taylor Consulting.
Perhaps the first thing you’ll notice is my use one of the new domain name extensions, namely the .consulting extension. The launch of this extension coincided with the timing of my plans to rebrand and I thought it would be an appropriate choice. I am a consultant so it makes sense, right?
For the previous 3 or 4 years I have been doing business under them name Convertology which sounds very tech agency-like. However I am not planning to build an agency style business bloated with support staff and high costs as so many are. This got me thinking and in the end I decided I’d use my own name as a trading name, making it more personal and transparent.
In the short term the Convertology website and social media accounts will remain live for a little while longer (from the publishing date of this post).
At present I am based on the Sunshine Coast here in Australia although I do return to Sydney quite often. All but one of my clients are based in Sydney and so I always have an excuse to jump on a plane and visit.
OK, quick introduction done.
